About Me
Meet Dr Parminder Kaur Chohan
About me
"I take the time to ensure you fully understand your eye health and the options available to you."
I graduated from Aston University in 2010 with a degree in Optometry. After successfully completing the professional examinations set by the College of Optometrists, I qualified as an optometrist in 2011. Throughout my career, I have worked for independent practices which has allowed me to develop a patient-focused approach to eye care.
I completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Aston University in 2017 which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst studying for my doctorate, I taught undergraduate optometry students and assessed final-year students in a clinical setting which was very rewarding.
I have a strong interest in education and professional development and was awarded the Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in recognition of my teaching contributions.
I have also served as a council member for the College of Optometrists, representing optometrists within my region and contributing to professional committees.
A Personal Approach to Eye Care
As the sole optometrist at S E Eyecare, I personally manage every aspect of your care.
From your initial eye examination through to selecting frames, advising on lenses, and fitting your spectacles, you will always be seen by me.
This ensures continuity, attention to detail, and a personal and attentive approach to care, with time to focus on each individual’s requirements.
